FAQ

Where is my invoice data stored?

Inside the link itself, plus a private copy in your browser's local storage. Payproof has no servers and no database — there is nothing to hack, leak, or shut down. Connect your wallet on the My invoices tab to load your full payment history on any device.

How does Payproof know an invoice was paid?

Every invoice carries a unique micro-amount reference in its final decimals (like a bank payment reference). Payproof scans the token's Transfer logs on Arc for your address and that exact amount — an exact match settles the invoice. No oracle, no webhook, no trust required.

Do I need an account?

No. Your wallet is your identity. Anything you're owed lives onchain, so connecting your wallet from any browser or device restores your received-payments history instantly.

Can Payproof access my funds?

No. Payments travel wallet-to-wallet on Arc. Payproof never holds, routes, or controls funds, and it never sees your private keys.

Is this real money?

Not yet — Payproof currently runs on Arc Testnet, so tokens have no real-world value. The flow is identical to how it would work on mainnet.

What does it cost?

Payproof is free. The only cost is Arc network gas — paid in USDC, roughly a cent per transaction.
